讀到一句話，難以理解：
Babies of two months old do not appear to be reluctant to  enter the water.
It is not long before they are so accustomed to swimming that they can pick up weights from the floor of the pool.

原書的參考譯文如下：
兩個月的嬰兒并末顯得不愿意入水。
他們很快便適應(yīng)了游泳，以致能撿起池底的物品。 //他們很快便適應(yīng)了游泳？？？

俺橫看堅看感覺參考譯文譯得怪怪的，哪位高手指點一下！

關(guān)鍵點就是這句：“pick up weights from the floor of the pool”

會不會是踩水的意思呢，瞎猜的。

依俺的理解，原文中老外想說的意思應(yīng)該是這樣：
只是很短時間，在孩子們適應(yīng)學(xué)會游泳之前，他們就能撿起池底的物品。
//還沒有適應(yīng)游泳，就會潛水撿東西了？老外的說話邏輯一定是有毛病？

"以致能撿起池底的物品"?這是哪個白癡干的？

直譯：他們可以把他們的體重從池底提上來

就是說，他們可以不再依靠池底的支撐，通過鳧水來使他們的身體騰空
